A. This will depend on what type of payment processing account you have set up.

Q. Can I have the "Home" button on my Shopping Cart point back to my home page?

A. Yes. On your Management Page there is a 'HomePage URL' field where you can specify the address your home button should point to.

Q. Can I Create a direct link from my homepage to my Shopping Cart?

A. Yes, when your Shopping Cart is set up, you'll receive a URL address that will allow you to link directly to your Shopping Cart. This address allows you to create a link/button, on your home page, that takes a visitor directly to your Shopping Cart without knowing your Shopping Cart code.

Q. How do I manage my board?

A. When your board is set up you'll be given access to a "management site" for your shopping cart. Below are some of the management functions available to you at your management site:

  • View/Reset your visitor counter (Shows number of visits to your shopping cart).
  • Request automatic email notification, this causes an email notification message sent to you every time a product description is added to your shopping cart.
  • Add/Change Shopping Cart Category Titles.
  • Set your Shopping Cart's "Home Page Button" to point to your Home Page.
  • Specify a background color/gif to be used for your Shopping Cart background.
  • Change your Manager's Password.
  • Specify Meta Tags (Title, Keywords, and Description) for your board (important if you want to register your shopping cart with Internet search engines).
  • Specify how products are sorted on your Shopping Cart.
  • Specify the Title of your Shopping Cart.
 

Q. Can I track/count the number of visitors to my Shopping Cart?

A. Yes, when your Shopping Cart is set up, you'll be given access to a management site that allows you to monitor the number of visits to your Shopping Cart. This site also gives you the capability to change other configuration parameters such as categories, company name, etc.

Q. Can I insert a photograph with my product descriptions?
A. Yes.

Q. Does the shopping cart accept credit cards?

A. Yes. However, although the shopping cart can request Visa/MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Novus credit card orders, realize that the order is sent to you for processing under your merchant account. The shopping cart does not actually debit the customer's account but rather forwards a credit card purchase order to you for processing.

Q. Can the shopping cart provide secure credit card processing?

A. Yes. The shopping cart is hosted on a secure sever using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt sensitive data such as credit card numbers.. This ensures encrypted credit card transaction processing for your customers.
While selecting products and adding them to the Shopping Cart, the customer is in Non-Secure Mode. After he/she presses the Checkout button, we switch to Secure Mode in order to collect the billing and shipping information.

Q. Can the shopping cart be used for fax, telephone, and mail orders?

A. Yes. You can configure your shopping cart to allow customers to place orders via fax, telephone, and or US mail.

Q. Can I search all or a subset of product descriptions for a specific keyword?

A. Yes. Click on the "Search" button at the top of your Shopping Cart and you'll be prompted to enter a keyword to search on.

Q. How can I create special formatting effects, like underlining, bold words, color, line breaks, etc. when typing a message?

A. Every product description you enter will be formatted automatically. However, if you want to add additional formatting features, such as "Bolding", "Underlining", manual line breaks and Color, with your message text as well as inserting URL links, you can use the full set of HTML formatting codes to accomplish this.

Q. How long can a Product Description be?

A. Up to 10 pages of text.

Q. Can I have a custom logo or banner inserted at the top of my Shopping Cart?

A. Yes. We'll create a banner for you free, automatically, but if you don't like the one we create or have one of your own, either send it to us and we'll insert it at the top of your shopping cart free or if it resides on your server go to your management page and specify its location in the field labeled "banner logo".

Q. Can I delete more than one product description at a time? 

A. Yes, as the Shopping Cart manager you can always delete groups of items (by category) by going to your management site and selecting which category of items to delete. You can also delete items based on creation date.
